PROJET-DE-CONSTRUCTION-DUN-COMPLEXE-NAUTIQUE-2

Short presentation

Build a private nautical complex to reduce inequalities in access to sports and the deficit in registered swimming skills.

The complex will include:
- an Olympic swimming pool at sea of 3,750 m3
- a swimming pool and games of 25 * 15 (375 m²) at sea
- a circulation space
- changing rooms, shower and toilets
- an administrative area (office, staff changing rooms, herbal tea, MNS premises, infirmary)

Goals

We want to learn swimming to as many people as possible, prevent accidents (drowning) and fight against aquaphobia, introduce people to the pleasures of water (water polo, aquagym), offer training in relation to the sea, offer a swimming pool Olympic to discover young talents from Mayotte, allow other sports clubs to train

Contexte (territory issues, targeted audience)

In Mayotte, few Mahorais know how to swim, including those who worl in the sea. Yet the first settlements of the island were made by sea ...

The island also has 10 times less sports facilities per inhabitant than the national average when compared to the population of under 20 years (there is only one swimming pool, that of Koropa, in Majicavo, of 15 mx 5m). “60% of the local population is under 20, making Mayotte the French department in which the development of sport in its educational and social cohesion dimensions is an urgent necessity”.

Actions implemented

Hiring of a lifeguard
Marking of the swimming area
Swimming lessons for children and adults, canoeing lessons
Water aerobics
Agreement with a school
Excursions to discover the lagoon. Big game fishing, dolphin safari, snorkeling, historical and religious heritage ...

These activities raise awareness of the protection of flora and fauna.
