Ciné parc : traveling cinema in Livradois Forez
Short presentationItinerant cinema which crosses the Livradois Forez since the end of the 80s (sessions for the general public, school sessions, thematic evenings ...).
GoalsPromote access to the cinema, in all its diversity
Contexte (territory issues, targeted audience)For 24 years now, the Ciné Parc traveling cinema team has been crisscrossing the roads of the Livradois-Forez Regional Natural Park to project films as close as possible to people.
This traveling cinema was set up in 1989, at the instigation of the Livradois-Forez Natural Park to cope with a lack of structures in the cultural field, to help local cinemas which were in extreme difficulty at the end of the 80s, but above all to give the possibility to a rural audience to see films near their home.
In associative form in 1989, it was transformed in 1991 into a Intercommunal Single Vocation Syndicate on political will, making Ciné Parc, at the time, the only French traveling cinema circuit with the status of a public establishment.
Actions implementedAccording to the principle of itinerance, the four agents ensuring the projection constantly move from cities to villages (municipalities of 250 to 4,000 inhabitants) with the necessary equipment, ensure the installation, the adjustment, and the projection in digital (and again very punctually in 35mm).
Projections in 29 municipalities (26 in Puy-de-Dôme and 3 in Haute-Loire)… Either in 2015, 710 sessions and 26,058 spectators, or an average of 33 spectators per session.
Activities: school sessions, animation workshops during school time, writing workshops, cinema concert, live and cinematographic show, themed evenings, image education.
