Short presentation

Proposal of a mobility offer to the inhabitants of the territory and promoting alternative mobility.

Goals

1/ Creation of mobility poles in the downtowns linked to the revitalization idea (shelter, bikes, electric car charging point, linked with other eco-mobility offers).
2/ Organize the territory mesh, between downtowns and the transportation to the latter (ridesharing, organized hitchhiking, carsharing, public transports, PAB (power-assisted bicycle), shuttle service).
3/ Develop offers to specific aimed publics: companies for the work-home ride (promoting the ridesharing), tourists and tourist prescribers (PAB, shuttle service).
4/ Highlight every alternative mobility offers to the solo driving, with animations and communication.

Contexte (territory issues, targeted audience)

Rural middle mountain territory,, the Upper-Jura faces a need of increasing mobility and a heavy dependence to the individual car, due to a failing of the public transports and to the diversity of needs.
The high motorization rate hides the lack of offers for non-motorized users (young people, senior citizens, unemployed people, etc.) Various initiatives have already been engaged by the communities and the Park in term of ridesharing, public transports, soft mobility, etc. The challenge is now to offer an effective organization of a mobility package on all the living basin of the Upper-Jura region. The objective is to rely on the already existing offers by responding to all the Upper-Jura inhabitants needs.
